Fragrance Media

Passing warm air over highly concentrated fragrance cartridges diffuses fragrance. The fragrance media technology is the result of years of research & development to determine the most efficient way to distribute scents in small to very large spaces. It's the combination of our scenting systems, scent design and fragrance media that produce the results that our clients have come to expect.

Fragrance Media

Ceramic Cartridges

Our Ceramic Cartridges are ceramic “bricks” infused with fragrance using a proprietary process developed by International Fragrance Systems. These cartridges are the ideal medium for disbursing fragrances as they can store a large quantity of fragrance and disburse it slowly over a period of time. On average a ceramic cartridge lasts 3-4 weeks operating 50% on 50% off.

Cell Foam Cartridges

Cell foam has higher output than ceramic and is a perfect fit for special effects or for applications where there is a lot of air turbulence or other challenges using ceramics. Our Cell Foam Cartridges are hand made and manufactured from high technology foam that has special technical characteristics for storing a large volume of fragrance and releasing it quickly. With a faster evaporation, cell foam cartridges will not last as long as the equivalent ceramic cartridges. On average a cell foam cartridge lasts 2-3 weeks operating 50% on 50% off.

Pearl Beads

Fragranced Pearl Beads have a very high surface area ratio and, therefore, a huge output potential. To illustrate, a scenting system loaded with 10 kgs of Pearl Beads will cover 215,000 sq ft (20,000 sq meters) set at 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, 20 minutes on, 30 minutes off. Our Fragranced Pearl Beads are de-signed for use with the CP550 and CP250 scenting systems.

CP4 High-Performance Cartridges

These are our highest intensity cartridges. They are fluted plastic fragrance-infused extruded tubes. CP4 Cartridges are lighter in weight than beads, more convenient to use and the running costs by comparison with fragranced pearl beads are approximately 25% less. These cartridges are made specifically for the CP550/4 and CP250/4 scenting systems.

Storage Details

All media should be stored in a cool, dry location. Fragrance media is packed in metallized polyester bags and has a shelf life of 12 to 18 months.

Note: example durations for each cartridge are based on average conditions and depend greatly on frequency of use, ambient temperature, airflow, etc. Fragrance machines are generally not left on permanently. On average they are set up to be on 15 minutes off 15 minutes, giving a subtle background fragrance and allowing the fragrance to disperse over the target area. It is important that there is also a fresh air element so the fragrance will be in the atmosphere in varying strengths. As a fragrance tails off, you then get some fresh air and the machine starts to operate again. Fragrance machines should always be set up to give a background effect of fragrance rather than dominating a space.
