eat stress related deaths on the football field have been popping up all over the media landscape lately and with good reason. From 2005-2009 there have been 18 heat related preventable deaths across the nation, all but one being high school aged children. According to the University of Connecticut's Korey Stringer Institute (a non-profit group created by Kelci Stringer after her husband's heat stroke induced death while playing for the Minnesota Vikings as a lineman in 2001), that's more deaths in 5 years than any other 5 year block in the past 35 years.
Since the early days of the industrial revolution, breakthrough innovations have focused on technological inventions that market ease, practicality and, at times, alter the way we approach life. Misting systems, like many other technologies are being applied to different applications to create environments that are controlled and comfortable. Misting is still very much an early adopter market, however, it may be paving the way for changing the way we define comfort.
There is no denying that establishing and maintaining guest comfort is an art. Running the everyday operations in hospitality is enough of a struggle; then there's paper work, market research, competitor research, managing your staff, keeping up with technology and time management issues. Couple that with the difficulties of identifying and targeting your perfect guest and you face a substantial challenge.
Preventing Heat Stress in Cattle, Chickens and Pigs is a Smart Investment for the Modern Farmer
Preventing heat stress in cattle, swine and other livestock isn't about proper ventilation and grazing practices anymore but ensuring safety precautions against heat stroke and exhaustion in rising temperatures. Evidence for a restless climate has sparked the causal discussion fires of almost every color. No matter which side of the debate you are on, the average annual temperature for 48 states has indeed risen by 1.5 degrees in the last 10 years.

Koolfog Designs World Tallest Fog Effect
Towering 200 meters above ground-level, Koolfog wows visitors in Doha, Qatar with what is now considered to be the world's tallest fog effect. Employing industrial high-airflow fans, lighting and Koolfog's pure water fog technology, Qatar's Aspire Tower boasts a simulated flame effect that can be seen throughout the city. After several months collaboration between Koolfog headquarters, Koolfog Europe, and the client, the simulated flame effect was launched atop Tower in June 2007. After seeing the effect for the first time, the client stated "Why did we not have this in the first place rather than the real gas flame ... the flame was not as big, a realistic, or as cost effective."
